13-year-old Massachusetts girl dies from her injuries after being struck by vehicle
A young Massachusetts girl is dead after a pedestrian crash.
According to police, on Thursday at just before 2:30 p.m., Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of 370 Belmont St for a report of a pedestrian crash.
Upon arrival, officers located a thirteen-year-old girl and the Acura that struck her.
The girl suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The Crash Reconstruction Unit was called in to investigate.
The initial investigation revealed that the Acura’s operator was driving west on Belmont Street. The girl was crossing the street and was struck by the Acura.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Her name has not yet been released.
The investigation is currently open.
