Twin River could be open sooner then expected, announces restaurants, jobs, hopes to open 24 hours

Five restaurants will be opening at Twin River Casino in Tiverton according to Patti Doyle of Twin River. The casino could also be open earlier then expected. Jobs are also still available.

The Twin River food court will feature Trattoria Romano, Jacky’s Galaxie, Mooyah Burgers, Pie Five Pizza, and Dunkin Donuts.

Trattoria Romano is an Italian sit down restaurant with a wide array of Italian favorites. It will include a Chop House within the 50-60 seat restaurant. Here is a look at their Lincoln RI location: Trattoria Romana

The 95,000 square foot casino will also feature an 84 room hotel, 32 table games and 1,000 slot machines.

The estimated cost of the project, as of November, is $140 million.

The William S. Canning/Stafford Road Roundabout for the casino is expected to be completed before the casino opening.  The casino is on track to be open for business as early as late summer.

Twin River Tiverton casino is also looking for two proposed amendments that will allow them to be open 24 hours and to serve alcohol during certain hours. Both ordinances will have to be approved by the Tiverton Town Council however. A hearing by the Town Council has been scheduled for May 31 at 7 p.m. at Tiverton High School.

The total casino workforce is expected to total 550 –600 employees.
