According to the National Weather Service, accumulating snow may result in slippery travel across eastern Massachusetts mainly late tonight into Sunday morning.

Scattered rain and snow showers developing across eastern Massachusetts early this evening. Any mixed precipitation should change over to snow showers tonight. These snow showers will persist into early Sunday morning. While it will not snow the entire time, brief bands of heavy snow showers are possible. This may result in snow accumulations of between 1 and 2 inches. Sunday expect a northeast wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Some roads may become snow covered and slippery in heavier bands of snow along with brief poor visibility. The greatest risk for this is between 10 pm tonight and 8 am Sunday morning. Motorists driving late tonight into Sunday morning should be prepared for slippery travel and reduced visibility.
