Police and fire crews respond after car smashes into home in Dartmouth, severing gas meter
Crews responded early this morning to a vehicle crashing into a home in Dartmouth.
According to the Dartmouth District 1 Fire Department, police and fire crews were dispatched at 2:44 a.m. to Russells Mills Road for a reported auto vs house.
Upon arrival, crews found the gas meter severed at the base and structural damage to the home along with two electrical services compromised.
Immediate notification was made to Eversource Gas, Electric and Dartmouth Building Commissioner while crews secured the scene.
The residents escaped the home with no injuries. Officials stated that there was no information on the condition of the driver.
