Several resolutions are expected to be in front of the City Council on Tuesday.

Among them, the administration is scheduled to provide details on a proposed plan to end the Pay-As-You-Throw program.

Another issue expected to be in front of the council is the status of the repairs of the Veteran’s Center on Pine St. As Fall River Reporter reported on a few weeks ago, there are still many issues with the building including a leaky roof.

An issue that has become a hot topic across the city, the mayor will be requesting the Council to review the easement that is scheduled to disrupt the Quequechan Rail Trail. Several supporters are scheduled to attended the meeting for this reason.

Also on the agenda is an update from the administration on the status of the King Philip Mill property. As you may know a developer wants to create market-rate housing and a waterfront park at the location, but the process has had its bumps in the road.

There have been some complaints about the maintenance around the Route 79/Braga Bridge project. That is also on the docket to be discussed Tuesday as well.

The City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 26 at 7:00pm or immediately following the Committee on Finance meeting if that meeting runs past 7:00 p.m.
