Man’s body found this morning in shoreline of Newport waters
A dead body was located this morning in Newport waters.
According to Michael Healey, Chief Public Affairs Officer at Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, a man’s body was found on the shoreline of Price Neck in Newport at around 9:00 a.m. today.
The Medical Examiner will be determining the cause of death.
DEM knows the man’s identity and will release it once they have notified his family.
Healey stated that it is still early in the investigation, and they are currently working out of the Coast Guard station.
