Local man dies in car crash in Tiverton Friday
Tiverton Police and Fire responded to a single vehicle accident involving a 2017 Dodge Ram pickup about 2:45 p.m.
Tiverton Police and Fire with the assistance of the Little Compton Police Department, responded to a single vehicle accident involving a 2017 Dodge Ram pickup about 2:45 p.m. Friday afternoon .
The vehicle was traveling north on South Lake Road and left the roadway striking a tree and utility pole. The operator, 57, from Little Compton, RI died on scene from his injuries. TPD accident reconstructions were on scene and have begun an investigation into the cause of the accident. The name has not been released due to family notification.
South Lake Road was closed for about 2 hours after the accident took place.
