On Monday, December 4th, at approximately 3:30 p.m. Officer Jonathan Souza of the Fall River Police Departments Uniform Division responded to Price Rite Super Market located at 866 Pleasant Street in Fall River in regards to an Unarmed Robbery. Officers D. Amaral, B. Pacheco, M. Estrella, and F. Andrade responded to assist. On arrival, a female victim reported that as she was putting her groceries in her vehicle a male grabbed her purse out of the shopping carriage and ran towards 18th street. The victim gave chase but was unable to catch the culprit. The purse contained cash, identification cards, and a Metro PCS cell phone. The victim told officers that she observed the male watching her while she was shopping.

The suspect is described as:
• Hispanic male
• 5’9 to 6’ in height
• Wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt
• Black Pants
• Teardrop or Star Tattoo near his eye

The FRPD are warning shoppers that they should always use caution and report suspicious activity to them or to store security.
