Published

on

On Wednesday several officers from the Fall River Police Department teamed up with Atlantis Charter School for a High Five Day event. Coordinated by 4th grade Special Education Teacher, Alison Sheedy and Fall River Police Officer, Joe Reed, it was their fourth High Five Day event the past 2 years, and their first time at the new Atlantis Charter School campus at 991 Jefferson Street.

Officers Joe Reed, Jennifer DeLeon, Alyssa Dailey, Faith Amaral, Chris Gibson, John Aguiar, and Kwin Silva greeted students, from Kindergarten through sixth grade, with high-fives as they arrived at school. This event was part of a continued effort between Atlantis Charter School and the Fall River Police Department to foster community connections in the Greater Fall River Area by promoting positive interactions and building trusting relationships between the students and local police officers.
