Two were arrested by FRPD on charges related to an alleged armed robbery last night.

According to Detective John Robinson, on Tuesday, October 16th at approximately 5:30 a.m., Fall River Police Department Uniform Division Officers Nicholas Hoar, Kevin Lopes, Joseph Kubicek, Paul McGuire, and Nicholas Pliess were dispatched to an Alden Street address in response to an armed robbery complaint.

On arrival, the 53-year-old male complainant stated that he met up with two females and a male around 2:30 a.m. and they all agreed to go to the complainants’ apartment to drink beer. After a short while, the male told the complainant to have sex with his women and to pay him $100 for each one or he was going to stab him. The male then pulled out a folding knife and extended the blade. The alleged victim stated he ran into the bathroom.

The complainant stated that the females locked him in the bathroom where he stayed for about 30 minutes. The male victim also stated that he yelled for help until a neighbor arrived. As the neighbor arrived, the male and two females fled the apartment carrying the complainants’ laptop, cell phone, and prescription medication.

While Officers were canvassing the area, the complainant contacted Officer Hoar and informed him that the people who robbed him were at 286 Flint Street. Officers Hoar, Pliess, McGuire, and Kubicek responded to that location. After making entry, Officers located a male and female matching the descriptions provided by the victim. Also located on a table inside the apartment were the laptop, cell phone, and medication bottle with the complainants’ name on it.

Jonathan Belton, 44, homeless, and Kathleen Snitzer, 32, of 7 Division Street #3 Fall River, were taken into custody on charges of Armed Robbery and Kidnapping.

This is still an ongoing investigation and anyone with information on the second female is urged to contact Officer Nicholas Hoar at 508-676-8511. You can also call the anonymous TIPS line at 508-672-8477 and leave tips anonymously.
